Specials thanks to Donors Choose for giving my students the opportunity to have technology in the classroom. We've been able to use Google Classroom as well as other great technology programs to meet all student learning interests and needs.
English I: Understanding that students are citizens of a digital world and taking into account emerging digital literacies, this year we incorporated various forms of technology programs. One example is a blog where students read the article of the week. Monday would be the designated blog day and students had the chance to view a multi-modal text and respond to their peers through the technological platform.
Creative Writing: Students had some fun using imovie to create mini-movies to help with vocabulary development. They posted their videos on the classroom channel.
Creative Writing: As part of their persuasive writing unit, students examine persuasive appeals in commercials and create their own commercials using the animation program “Xtranormal". Follow the link to view the commercial: suitz-movie .
